Curfew extended till Jun 30

Imphal, June 11 2021:
The state government on Friday extended the ongoing curfew restrictions in the entire valley areas, besides the two hill districts, as preventive measures till June 30 .
Decision to extend the curfew came amid continuous surge in COVID-19 cases in the state, The restrictions will remain in force in Imphal West, Imphal East, Kakching, Thoubal, Bishnupur, Churachandpur and Ukhrul districts.
However, additional activities and sectors, apart from the ones already permitted in the earlier notifications, will be allowed in during the extended curfew period.
As per an order issued by the government, inter-district movement from Senapati, Kangpokpi, Kamjong, Tengnoupal, Chandel, Pherzawl, Noney, Tamenglong and Jiribam districts, where curfew is not in place, to the seven districts under curfew will remain prohibited to prevent the spread of COVID-19 .
The additional activities which have been permitted to operate include airlines' city booking reservation office from 10 am to 2 pm (except Sunday); railway reservation office at MSRTC complex from 10 am to 2 pm (except Sunday); and bakery operations with in situ workers.
All these activities will have to be carried out by taking adequate precaution and strictly following COVID-19 appropriate behaviour, the order mentioned.
