ADC Sadar Hills organises free medical camp at Molkon in Kpi

With an aim to meet the basic medical needs of hundreds of school going children and local populace ofMolkon village and its adjoining areas in Saikul sub-division, a free medical camp was organized successfully today at Molkon High School.
The free medical camp was organized by the Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi under the initiative of ADC Sadar Hills Chairman, Haokholal Hangshing in the presence of local MDC Paotinlun Chongloi, spokesperson of ADC Sadar Hills, Thangkam Lupheng, Makokching DCC member, Thongjalun Mate, Molkon village Chief Paocha Doungel and Molkon High School Headmaster, Seimang Chongloi.
A team of doctors including pharmacists and nurses from Sadar Hills Autonomous District Kangpokpi lead by Dr Brajamani Singh attended as many as 360 students and hundreds of locals during the free medical camp which covered the entire Molkon village, Molkon Bazar and its adjoining areas.
Free medicines and diet consultation was also provided to the patients during the camp.
While speaking to media persons, ADC Sadar Hills spokesperson, Thangkam Lupheng said that the overall response of the local people was overwhelming and added that the medical team also received full cooperation and support from Molkon village Chief and the local people.
He further appealed the village Chiefs, area leaders and the people to render such cooperation and support towards the District Council Administration, Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council, Kangpokpi in the event of such free medical camp in future for the welfare of the people.
Molkon village Chief appreciated the organisers of the medical camp.
"If such services continue, the area would become a healthy region very soon," he said.
He expressed gratitude on behalf of the locals to District Council Administration for providing require medicines free of cost.
He thanked the doctors and medical staffs for their enthusiastic services towards the poor and needy people of the areas.
