BJP promises direct funding of ADC

Union Minister of State for Youth Affairs and Sports Sarbananda Sonowal has guaranteed changes in the funding pattern of the Autonomous District Council in the State.
The Union Minister was speaking at a BJP election campaign at YPA hall, New Lamka today.
Tapir Gao a member of the BJP National Executive was also present at the election campaign.
During his address Sonowal credited the Modi led BJP Government for maintaining transparency and good governance.
He promised to bring about changes in the funding pattern for the State ADCs in case the party is voted to power.
He said the BJP will make necessary changes to ensure that the ADCs receive direct funding from the Centre so that the ADCs no longer exist under the State.
The Minister also promised to establish a State-of-the-art football stadium for Churachandpur under Sports Ministry in case the BJP is voted to power in the State ADC polls.
The BJP is contesting in 18 of the 24 ADC seats in the district.
The party leaders, both at the State and Centre are upbeat about the party's prospect in the upcoming election.
However, the risk of armed groups spoiling their prospect in favour of others are evident, Tapir Gao a member of the BJP National Executive stated.
Gao sternly warned armed groups, both under SoO or outside, from disturbing the peaceful conduct of the poll process.
Appealing for peace during and in the run up to the election, Gao said the para-military and the army forces will be deployed to nullify any agenda to disturb the election proc ess.
State BJP leaders, district and mandal functionaries along with the 18 candidates were present at the meeting.
