CM reminds people of BJP's stand to save Manipur

Chief minister N Biren Singh has urged people to keep in their minds about the BJP's firm stand and commitment to save Manipur and indigenous people of the state.
After casting his vote for the 18th Lok Sabha election on Friday, N Biren told media persons that he voted in favour of BJP candidate Th Basanta Kumar, who is vying for the Inner Manipur parliamentary seat.
People could give their votes to candidates of their choices freely but they should keep in mind about BJP's firm stand taken at this crucial juncture particularly on safeguard ing Manipur and saving the indigenous communities of the land, Biren said.
Replying to a query raised by media persons, N Biren said that he does not think that the INC's candidate will be a match for the BJP nominee.
If there is any serious contender to the BJP candidate, then it would be the RPI (Athawale)'s candidate, he opined.
Earlier, CM Biren along his better half Hiyainu cast their votes at 2/16 Srivan Higher Secondary School polling station at Luwangsangbam Mamang Leikai under Heingang assembly constituency at about 9.20 am.
