Imphal, September 12 2011:
The Ibobi led SPF government has nexus with certain underground groups of the state and hence no solution can be brought about to any problem prevailing in the state, alleged P Chandrasekhar Rao, BJP, NE Zonal Organising Secretary.
Speaking at the closing ceremony of the three day long residential camp of BJP Mahila Morcha held at the office of BJP, Manipur Pradesh today, P Chandrasekhar Rao said that Assam and Mizoram were the two states in North East where most of the problems related with militancy prevailed.
But things have now completely changed; peace has prevailed again in these two states.
All sorts of crimes and problems including that of militancy have taken deep roots in Manipur and Nagaland.
He further went on to say that as long as the Ibobi led SPF government continue to reign in Manipur the kidnapping and killing of innocent people of the state will continue.
The public needs to be aware of these happenings and come out openly and challenge the government.
Accusing the government for not being able to solve the Sadar Hills issue, he said that the people of the state have been suffering as a result of the ongoing economic blockade on all the NHs of the state.
Instead of trying to solve the issue, Chief Minister, O Ibobi had left the state with his family for Japan, which is not acceptable to all.
The BJP has said whatever it had to say regarding the present situation in Manipur, not only to the state government but also to the central government.
The party could not bring up the issue of the state in the recently concluded Parliament session because of the Anna Hajare issue.
But it will definitely take up the issue in the next session, he said.
On the upcoming general election, he said the party will fight in all the 60 constituencies of the state.
Hopefully BJP would be victorious in atleast 15 to 20 constituencies.
The function was also attended by Shantikumar Sharma, President of BJP Manipur Pradesh, K Mema, President, Mahila Morcha and Shipra Goan, Secretary, National Mahila Morcha as presidium members.
