Imphal, September 12 2011:
Zeliangrong Students Union, Manipur (ZSUM) has called on BOSEM to postpone TET examination, scheduled to be held on Sep 16, until clear-cut norms and proceedures are framed in favour of the candidates belonging to the minority community.
It also warned that the union would resort to agitation if the urge is not heard.
ZSUM said that admit cards have been dispatched to candidates without indicating venue and centre of examination.
It has been a demand of the ZSUM that the candidates belonging to minority community, especially STs/SCs be allowed to appear in TET without any condition with regards to cut-off percentage, it added.
However, the concerned authority did not pay any heed, it said.
Examination centres must be allotted to the concerned respective districts, it demanded and added that TET certificate must be permanent and without any validity period.
