Recalling the District Administration's notice circulated earlier to village chiefs to restrain from cultivating poppy, the DC advised the SDOs to remind the villagers of the notice served earlier.
He further stressed the need to warn the villagers, who continue to cultivate poppy, of the action which could be taken up against them.
Stating that he would seek for more logistic support from the Government if necessary, the DC instructed the officials to keep a strict vigil and carry out surveillance on where poppy is being cultivated for timely destruction and other necessary actions.
