NFDP registration camp held

Thoubal, January 02 2025: To promote digitalization in the fisheries sector, an online registration camp for farmers under National Fisheries Digital Platform was held today at Leishangthem Khongmanung Mayai Leikai Community hall, Thoubal district.

The online registration camp was organized by District Fishery Office, Thoubal in collaboration with YAL Club and Apunba Yaifa Singtha Ngami Lup.

During the camp, around 150 fish fanners of Thoubal Leishangthem Khongmanung were registered under the platform.

Speaking on the occasion, District Fisheries Officer, Keisham Dineshwor said that the registration camp was organised for the fish formers on the objective to reach the welfare schemes launched by the Central Government for the fish farmers.

He continued that those fish farmers who have missed the opportunity to register in today's camp may visit the office of DFO, Thoubal or Common Service Centre and register under the NFDP.

Later certificates were also handed to the fish formers who have registered under NFDP.

Similar camp was also held at Langmeidong Maning Awang Leikai Waiting shed under Kakching district organised by the District Fishery Office, Thoubal and Kakching in collaboration with Ukrong Lambi Fishery Development Co-operative society.

Around 95 fish farmers were registered during the camp.
