Imphal, November 06 2014:
Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) Manipur has strongly reacted over using Manipuri girls as sales women by outsiders during past Sangai Festivals.
It may be recalled that Sangai Festival has been organized in the state with an aim to showcase the arts and culture as well as costume of the state to the people who visit to witness the festival.
However, some companies or stall owners who come from outside the state are seen providing sales job to Manipuri girls.
Despite having numerous literate boys who could speak various languages in the state, those stalls owned by outsiders are still employing the local girls.
Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) urged the authority of Sangai Festival to look into the matter.
