Aid and solidarity continue to pour in from all spheres to the victims of the tragic road mishap which occurred at Old Cachar Road on December 21 last.
A team of Manipuri Chanura Leishem Marup (MACHA Leima) led by its president W Amusana visited the injured individuals of the road mishap admitted at different hospitals namely RIMS Hospital and Raj Medicity.
The team also presented blankets to all the injured.
MACHA Leima also shared the pain and loss of the bereaved families who have lost their loved ones during the accident.
The Immortal Jeep, Diesel Auto, Tata Magic, Taxi Owners Cooperative Limited, Yairipok, Imphal East district also expressed grief over the tragic incident and extended their condolences to the bereaved families.
As a gesture of solidarity, the association has declared that all the vehicles under the association will ferry the passengers for free who will be coming to take part in the 'Asti ceremony' of the deceased.
Ethno Heritage Council (HERICOUN) too joined in mourning the demise of precious lives during the dreadful incident.
HERICOUN also prayed for the peace of the departed souls and speedy recovery of all the injured.
The Mayang Imphal Road Motor Transport Co-operative Society Limited also held a condolence meeting at Wabagai Lamkhai parking in honour of the departed souls of the road mishap.
Meanwhile, Thokchom (Ongbi) Bijyaluxmi, spouse of Dr Thokchom Radhehyam, MLA Heirok Assembly Constituency, visited the teachers and students who sustained injuries in the tragic bus accident at Tubung Longsai Part III, Noney district yesterday.
She also extended monetary aid to the ailing victims who are currently receiving medical treatment at Raj Medicity, RIMS Hospital and Advanced Hospital.
During the visit, Thokchom (Ongbi) Bijyaluxmi personally checked upon the health condition of the injured victims, enquired after them and prayed for their speedy recovery.
She also met with the families of the wounded victims and expressed solidarity with them.
