MHGEWA convenes special general body meeting

Imphal, April 29 2024: A special general bodymeetingof the Manipur Home Guard Employees Welfare Association (MHGEWA) was held at Ima Khunthokhanbi Sanglen, DM University campus, Imphal on Sunday.

The meeting was chaired by MHGEWA president Y Mangi Singh, said a release issued by MHGEWA.

The meeting took a number of resolutions after due deliberation with the Battalion Commander, Battalion in-charge and members of the association.

In the meeting, it was resolved that all members will contribute any amount whatsoever required from time to time to meet the expenses for defending the cases before the Supreme Court of India regarding filing of Review Petition by the State Government for reviewing enhancement of duty allowances against the Supreme Court's judgement dated March 11, 2015 passed in CA No 2759 of 2015 and against the final judgement & order dated January 22, 2022 passed in WP(C) No 191 of 2018 .

It was also agreed to contribute the required amount for challenging the Home Department's order No H/77/ 2022-HD-HD dated April 10, 2024 before the High Court of Manupur and other cases.

The meeting also resolved to discuss further line of action and review the action taken report on the next Managing Committee meeting; and forward the same resolution to the competent authorities for their perusal & approval.
