Bishnupur, June 21 2021: Fair Price Shops (FPS) agents operating in Bishnupur district have been directed to compulsorily use Electronics Point of Sales (ePOS) devices while obtaining biometric authentication of National Food Security Act (NFSA)/Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana (PMGKAY) beneficiaries at the time of distribution of food grains.

In this regard, Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Krishna Kumar issued an office memorandum and stated that the direction has been given to ensure that there is no deduction of monthly allocation of NFSA in the future by way of adjustment against quantity shown to be not distributed on account of e-POS devices not being fully by the FPS agents.

Further it warned that action will be taken up against the FPS agents who fails to comply with the set directives.
