Sahitya Seva Samiti Kakching announces winners of Literary awards

Kakching, November 20 2024: Seva Samiti, Kakching-Manipur announced the recipients of its annual literary awards during a press briefing held yesterday at Kakching.

Presenting the list of winners before the media persons, Ksh Bir, Sahitya Academy Awardee and president, executive committee, Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching-Manipur, informed that Yambem Mani Sahitya Mana 2024 will be bestowed upon Dr Kshetrimayum Shanta from Kakching for his book "Anganba Khunaida Nupigi Shaktam" .

This award is sponsored by Yambem Satya.

Sponsored by Yendrembam Tabopi, the award for novel and short stories Yendrembam Surlata Puraskar 2024 will be awarded to ES Sunder from Hiyanglam for his novel "71 gi Nganu Thangong".

Additionally, Chingkhu Moirangleima Ningshing Kabidas Mana 2024 will be conferred to Tongbram Amaijit from Thanga for his poetry book "Imagi Keithel" .

Meanwhile, Ksh Chaoba Translation Award 2024 sponsored by Ksh Chaoba will be handed over to Nongmaithem Kirankumar from Imphal for his Manipuri translation of Anne Frank's The Diary of a Young Girl titled "Leishabi Macha Amagi Diary" .

Thokchom Anjana from Cachar, Assam was declared as the recipient of Ksh Nalini Sahitya Mana 2024 for her poetry book "Hinglamge Nashunglanggi" .

The award is sponsored by Ksh Bir and conferred to Manipuri writers settled beyond the State.

Lastly, the Yendrembam Godhadhar Ningshing Mana 2024 which is given to autobiographies, biographies and travelogues was bestowed on Saratchand Thiyam for his book "Nungshibi Japan" .

It is sponsored by Dr Yendrembam Sangeeta.

The awards will be handed over to the recipients on January 15, 2025 on the occasion of the 58th foundation day of Sahitya Seva Samiti, Kakching-Manipur.

The Samiti has directed the award winners to submit their biodata, one passport sized photo and an article each to be published in the Samiti's Chumthang journal to Ksh Joykumar (WhatsApp Number 9378117460) by December 10, 2024 .
