AMGSU raises concern on pitiable condition of schools

Kangpokpi, April 18 2023:
All Manipur Gorkha Students' Union (AMGSU) Irang Part-II Unit appealed to the State Government to look into the issues of Government and aided schools under Irang Part II area and provide adequate infrastructure at the earliest.
AMGSU came across that most of the Government and aided schools of Irang Part II are in a pitiable condition during an inspection drive carried out by the union today.
The student body in a statement maintained that shortage of teachers and lack of proper infrastructure are the major issues faced by these schools which violate the well-being of students.
Among the schools, UJB English School Thulochour is in a deplorable state and it will soon become unfit to conduct classes if the school is not renovated at the earliest, added the union.
In today's inspection drive, a team of AMGSU Irang Part-II Unit visited ten Government and aided schools.
The team was led by its Vice President Kamal Karki and Narayan Adhikari General Secretary .
It may be noted that the schools visited by the student body are Irang Part-II High School Panikheti; Rijaltahar Primary School; Timsina Aided Govt Primary School; Thaldara Aided LP School ; Junior English School Makui Ashang; UJB School Naibet; UJB English School Thulochour; Singarupa Govt Aided Junior High School; Gorkha Tapon English School and Govt Primary School Harup Khopi.
