Eimi Doctor's Forum (EDF) organizes annual get-together, rechristens forum as EDA

The Eimi Doctor's Forum has organized its annual get-together cum CME Programme yesterday at Tribal Research Institute conference Hall at Chingmeirong.
The Eimi Doctor's Forum also rechristened the forum as Eimi Doctor's Association to serve and render better services to the people during its annual get-together cum CME programme attended by Vumlunmang Vualnam, IAS, Principal Secy Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Manipur as the Special Guest.
The Eimi Doctor's Forum, now Eimi Doctor's Association is a non-political, non-profit organization for all the Eimi Doctors belonging to the Kut Celebrating Cognate Ethnic tribes and other Eimi doctors holding MBBS/ BDS & MD/MS/MDS/MPH degree from any part of India and abroad can enroll as a responsible member.
It aims to build closer relationship amongst the Eimi doctors, helps sharpened academic skills and knowledge of Eimi Doctors through scientific sessions while serving the people through various health activities.
Noted Eimi doctors such as Dr L Fimate; retd Director, RIMS Dr Chinkholal Thansing; Dr Seikholun Singsit; Dr V Haokip; Dr Lalthari Hmar; Dr Jangkholun Touthang; Dr Lhunkhothang Hangshing and Dr Melori also attended the event.
The event was also attended by Dr Thangkhojam Kom, MD (Obs & Gynae); SR RIMS, Dr Kambiakdik Tombing, MD (Paediatrics); SR RIMS, Dr Jamkhopum Baite MD (Medicine), Consultant, District Hospital Churachandpur; Dr Hegin Tungdim, MS (Orthopaedics), Consultant, District Hospital Churachandpur; and Dr Lucy Haokip, Dental Surgeon, Churachandpur as resource persons in the CME session in their respective topics of specialization.
Eimi medicos of JNIMS and RIMS also participated in the event in good numbers where Christy Vunggoihching and Dr Mangpi Shoute entertained the gathering with their melodious voice while the Directory of Eimi Doctors Association was also released by the Principal Secy Health & Family Welfare, Govt of Manipur.
An election was also held to elect new executive members of the Eimi Doctor's Association with a term of 2 years during the get-together cum CME programme.
Dr Paokai Kipgen, Dr Thangginmang Naulak, Dr John Lupheng, Dr Lawrence Khaigin Vaiphei were elected as President, Vice President, General Secretary and Joint Secretary respectively while Dr Ngahnrikim Haokip, Dr Marylyn Songate, Dr Jamkhochon Baite and Dr Neikim Hangshing were elected as Finance Secretary, Treasurer, Information & Publicity Secretary and Women Representative respectively.
The District Representatives were also elected during the function which include Dr Paotinlal Haokip and Dr Mangpi Shoute (Kangpokpi District); Dr Hegin Tungdim and Dr Thanglalmuang (Churachandpur District); Dr M Mangcha Haokip (Tengnoupal and Chandel District); Dr Seiminthang (Ukhrul and Kamjong District); Dr Kambiakdik Tombing and Dr T Letkhohao Haokip (RIMS and Imphal West Area) and Dr Jangkholun Touthang (JNIMS and Imphal East Area) .
Dr L Fimate, retd Director, RIMS; Dr V Haokip, CMO TD & Hills; Dr Lalthari Hmar, CMO, Tengnoupal; Dr C Thangsing, Founder, Touch of Hope; Dr Thangpa Serto, State Malaria Officer and Dr J Touthang, DIO, Kangpokpi were elected as Advisory Board of Eimi Doctor's Association.
