World Health Day observed at three districts

Kakching/Kpi/CCpur, April 07 2018: In view of the observation of World Health Day across the globe, Kakching and Kangpokpi districts also observed the day at different locations today.

With "Healthy attitude, Stealthy habits, Healthy lifestyle" as the theme, the event was organised by District Health Society under the aegis of National Health Mission Manipur organised World Health Day at community health centre, Kakching.

Kakching Municipal Council ward no 6 Councillor, Nongmiathem Narjit Singh, CMO Kakching Dr Sh Mangol Singh, District Family Welfare Officer Kakching Dr Ksh Memcha Devi attended the programme as dignitaries.

Swachhta Pakhwada nodal officer, Dr Ksh Memcha Devi spoke on celebrating the day and elaborated the tasks to be conducted and completed during the Swachhta Pakhwada fortnight campaign.

Meanwhile, the World Health Day was widely observed in Kangpokpi District under the aegis of District Health Society, Kangpokpi District at Saikul Sub Divisional Headquarters today.

The observance was organized at Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai complex in collaboration with PHC Saikul.

Thangjakam Misao, Vice Chairman, ADC Sadar Hills graced the occasion as chief guest and Thongjalun Mate, Member ADC Sadar Hills, Seikhomang Lupho, president, Kuki Inpi Saikul Gamkai and RK Deber, EE, PHED Kangpokpi District attended as guest of honour while Dr Thangpa Serto, CMO Kangpokpi District attended as functional president.

Apart from village chiefs, CSOs leaders and other medical staff Samuel Tongminlen Lhungdim, SDC Saikul, Maj.

Debbarma, Post Commander, 38 AR Saikul post also attended the function while Dr Joykumar, District TB Officer Kangpokpi and Dr John Lupheng, MO in-charge PHC Saikul attended as resource persons.

The World Health Day was also observed at Churachandpur district under the aegis of District Health Society at Nute Bazar.

The event was graced by Khaipao Haokip, Chairman, ADC/CCpur; Rakesh Balwal, SP/CCpur; T Kammuanlal Simte, CEO/ADCC and T Paukhanlian EM/ADCC among others.

Dr Chingnunsiam, District Nodal Officer and Dr Kimngaihching Simte, CMO/CCpur briefed the participants on the need to maintain healthy lifestyle and the importance of physical activity.

A Swachhata pledge was also taken on the occasion.
