Imphal, July 01 2009: Filmmaker and vice president of Film Forum Manipur Laimayum Surjakanta of Khoyathong Nagamapal Phougeisangbam Leikai, who was arrested on alleged charge of issuing identity card of the film forum to self-styled captain of proscribed KYKL RK Raghunath alias Nongsaba has been remanded to further police custody for six days by a Court here today.

52-year old Surjakanta was arrested yesterday by a team of Bishnupur Police under section 17(20) UPA Act, 2004 .

He has been charged with issuing identity card of Film Forum Manipur to Raghunath who was arrested by Delhi Police along with film actress Devita from a rented house at South Extension, New Delhi on June 26 .

Surjakanta was produced before the Court of CJM Bishnupur who remanded him to police custody for another 6 days acting on the request of the police.
