H Ibotombi, M Noren condoled

Many civil society organisations/bodies have expressed profound sadness and condolence over the untimely demise of Heikrujam Ibotombi Khuman, former consultative member of United Committee Manipur(UCM).
Late Heikrujam Ibotombi was a visionary leader who played key roles in many public movements and made significant contributions towards the welfare of the people.
He served as the president of PORAMLEN APUNBA in 1988, president of International Peace and Social Advancement (IPSA) from 2000-2005, consultative member of UCM in 2001 and as convenor of Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS) in 2013.He also served as the chairman of the Justice Committee till 2021.In his honour, a condolence meeting was held today at IPSA Office in Keishampat.
The meeting was attended by representatives of 13 organisations namely IPSA, Peoples' Action for National Democratic Movement (PANDM), All Club Organisation Association & Meira Paibi Lup (ACOAM-Lup), Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK), Kangleipak Students' Association (KSA), Loumee Yaipha Lup (Loya Lup), Kangleipak Lamjing Apunba Meira Paibi Lup (KANGLA MEI), Chanura Lamchinglel Kangleipak (CLK), Kanglei Ima Lup (KIL), Economic & Resource Development Organisation (ERDO), Apunba Keithel Sinnaibi Lup (AKSIL), Malem Ima Kanba Lup (MIKL) and Struggling Women's Association (SWA).
The meeting remembered the numerous contributions made by Heikrujam Ibotombi and shared the grief & pain of the bereaved families.
The gathering also prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Meanwhile, THOUNA Manipur has expressed profound sorrow and condolence over the untimely demise of its secretary Moirangthem Noren.
Moirangthem Noren passed away on Wednesday morning.
He was 58.A condolence meeting was held at the residence of Ksh Noren Singh in Kakching Ningthou Leikai on Wednesday afternoon to mourn the untimely demise of Moirangthem Noren.
The gathering shared the grief & pain of the bereaved family and observed two minutes of silence to pray for the departed soul to rest in peace in the heavenly abode.
