Imphal, September 15 2024: Rajkumari Sanahanbi Devi has been honoured with the prestigious Vashyei Kala Sanman by the Hindusthan Samachar, one of the oldest news agencies of the country.

Sanahanbi and 23 other performing artistes of the country were presented the Vashyei Kala Sanman on the occasion of Indian Language Day during a function held at Vishwanath Dham in Kashi.

The award function was graced by Vijay Kumar Sinha, Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar as the chief guest along with Riteshwor Swami Maharaja from Brindavan and officials of the Hindustan Samachar.

Rajkumari Sanahanbi Devi, an instructor at the international acclaimed dance institution Manipuri Jagoi Marup was honoured in recognition of her contribution in the field of Manipuri dance.

One artist each from Assam and Tripura were also honoured with the Sanman.
