Imphal, May 02 2015 : Schedule Caste and OBC students of Ajad Higher Secondary school would be given opportunities of free education starting this academic session.

MLA Th Shyamkumar while communicating the State Government's decision to place Ajad Higher Secondary school among one of the best educational institutes in the Nation stated the above at a press meet today.

Arrangements have been made, the MLA assured to upgrade the school's infrastructure.

Promising the completion of the same within the month of June, the MLA said the new batch of SC and OBC students who have successfully cleared the standard X examination under BOSEM would be given free education facilities, in all streams at the School.

About 1000 students (both boys and girls) would be given free admission and hostel facilities by the School, the MLA stated.

The Ministry of Minority Affairs under its Multi-Sectorial Development Programme has released a sum of Rs 1,07,19,000 for the propose, the MLA added.

Students belonging to either OBC or SC can collect admission forms from the school after the declaration of the results.
