Imphal, November 04 2026: As a Ningol Chakkouba gift, Art & Culture Minister Khuraijam Loken has dedicated his salaries for five years to the women of Wangoi Assembly segment.

The shares of women residing under 22/1 and 22/2 polling stations of Wangoi AC were handed over at a function held today at Irom Meijrao Maning Leikai community hall.

Speaking at the gathering, Khuraijam Loken declared that the monthly salary entitled to him as an MLA from March 2022 to March 2027 will be handed over to the women of Wangoi AC.

He said that he was dedicating his monthly salary to the women of Wangoi AC as per the wish of his late daughter, Khuraijam Ranjana.

Launching the same initiative, Loken handed over a part of his monthly salary to women groups of Irom Meijrao and Govindagram.

He said that women groups of all other polling stations of Wangoi AC will be given their shares before the Ningol Chakkouba festival.

The Art & Culture and Tourism Minister said that he would serve all sections of people in Wangoi AC without any discrimination.

He also appealed to all people of Wangoi AC to point out his mistakes and lapses, if there were any, so that he could correct them.
