Imphal, September 19 2026: Security forces arrested two cadres of KCP (PWG) .

According to a bulletin issued by police, a team of Imphal East commandos and 33 Assam Rifles arrested one Longjam Romen (45), an active member of KCP (PWG) from Lamphel Super Market yesterday.

Further investigation, police said, led to the arrest of his stepdaughter Baby Sanabam alias Babysana (28), also an active member of KCP (PWG).

Police said that she instructed Romen to place hand grenades at Shija Hospitals, Langol offering him Rs 30,000 .

In another operation, a team of Imphal East commandos and 8 Bihar Regiment arrested one Yenkhom Gyandash alias Dinku alias Chaningkhomba (25), an active member of KCP (Paikhomba) from Sajiwa near Babina Hospital, police added.

From him, one .32 pistol and three KCP (Paikhomba) extortion notes were seized, it said.
