MTU inks MoUs with Korean varsities

Imphal, November 03 2026: Manipur Technical University (MTU) has signed Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) with five reputed universities of the Republic of Korea.

The MoUs were signed by MTU Vice Chancellor Prof W Chandbabu and representatives of Dong-eui Institute of Technology, Yeungjin University, Seojeong University, Chungbok Health & Science University and Mokpo Science University at MTU, Takyelpat today.

Prof Lee, visiting faculty of Foreign Language Department, Manipur University was also present at the signing of the MoUs .

Speaking at the gathering, Prof W Chandbabu said that the MoUs signed today will facilitate collaboration, academic exchange and research collaboration between MTU and the Korean universities.

He said that all universities including MTU must have skill development programmes and value-added courses.

The VC said that MTU has been working hard to make it an excellent centre of learning but the university has been facing several challenges due to inadequate infrastructure.

Nonetheless, MTU will see remarkable challenges in the next two years, the VC said.

He said that MTU will work with Korean universities to undertake several academic exchange programmes.

Prof Chandbabu added that due process will be initiated to introduce a Korean language programme at MTU .
