CMM celebrates 12th foundation day

Chanura Microfin Manipur (CMM) has celebrated its 12th foundation day today at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal.
Former Chairperson Manipur State Commission for Women (MSCW) Dr Ch Jamini Devi and chairperson Chanura Microfin Manipur, N Hiramati Devi attended the event as chief guest and president respectively.
Speaking at the event, former Chairperson MSCW Dr Ch Jamini said that the programmes and policies of the Chanura Microfin Manipur are empowering the women of the State.
Chanura Microfin Manipur is lending money and helping the women of the State financially to realise their dreams and earn income, she said.
Women now have easy access to loans from bank through Chanura Microfin Manipur, she added.
More than 25,000 women have been benefited so far by the CMM, she claimed.
Founder secretary/CEO of CMM PK Khuman said that the Chanura Microfin Manipur was established under the theme "better economy for a better Nation" .
To better serve its purpose and expand its reach, CMM is planning to open 7 branches in different places, said Khuman.
Retired General Manager Manipur Rural bank Kh Yaiskul Singh, Founder Secretary CEO Chanura Microfin Manipur PK Khuman, Manager Imphal Branch Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) G Ramkumar Sharma, Manager Imphal Branch NEDFI Priyobrattta Gurumayum, Secretary Rural Agricultural & Industrial Development Centre P Yaima Singh, independent consultant W Bimolata Devi, founder member Chanura Microfin Manipur P Memmi and executive member Chanura Microfin Manipur Ph Lokhendra Sharma attended the event as guests of honour.
