Expenditure Observers meet election team of Kangpokpi, Senapati

In view of the forthcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Expenditure Observers for II Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency appointed by the Election Commission of India, Dr Bhartendu Kumar Singh, IDAS and Gaurav K Singh (IRS) visited Kangpokpi district today in connection to the ensuing 18 th Lok Sabha Elections, 2024.They were accorded a warm welcome by the District Election Officer (DEO)/Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mahesh Chaudhari (IAS) and Superintendent of Police (SP) Manoj Prabhakar (IPS), including the district team members at the DC Office complex, Kangpokpi The observers briefed the DEO/DC Mahesh Chaudhari and the entire district election team for ensuring smooth conduct of elections in the district.
They also took stock of poll related expenditure and other preparations of the district related to the Election Expenditure Monitoring team.
DEO/DC Mahesh Chaudhari (IAS) briefed on the district polling activities to both the observers ahead of the first phase voting to be held on April 19.Polling will be held at 166 polling stations and 24 special polling stations of the three assembly segments of 46-Saikul (ST), 50-Kangpokpi and 51-Saitu (ST) falling within the 2-Outer Manipur (ST) Parliamentary Constituency seat.
Furthermore, the two Expenditure Observers also chaired a meeting with the Election Expenditure Monitoring Team of Senapati at DC Conference Hall today.
The team consisted of Assistant Expenditure Observers, Team Leader Civil and Police of FST, SST, VST, VVT, Accounting Teams, Media Certification and Monitoring Committee and Complaint Monitoring Control Room and Call Centre.
Notably, the Expenditure Observers will be monitoring election expenditure related matter for the second phase of 18th Lok Sabha for II-Outer Manipur (ST) PC including 3 assemblies segment namely 47-Karong AC (ST), 48-Mao AC (ST) and 49-Tadubi (ST) AC of Senapati district.
During the meeting, Dr Bhartendu Kumar Singh, IDAS informed the team members to carry on with the daily report on time.
He said inspection relating to election activity will be thoroughly monitored as per the schedule.
He also applauded and expressed satisfaction over the AEO's and their respective teams for taking up their task dutifully.
Gaurav K Singh, IRS also appealed to the election expenditure monitoring teams to properly track the expenses and remain vigilant.
In case of any doubt the AEOs' should put forward the matter for clarification, he said.
