In its drive towards providing succor to the inhabitants of remote areas, 22 Assam Rifles of 10 Sector HQ IGAR (South) organised a one day health camp at Chaka village in Senapati district on March 22 .
Medical treatment and medicines were provided to the villagers who were overwhelmed by the service of 'uniformed saviours' who were the first to provide such aids to the villagers during this spell of thirty years, said a release undersigned by PRO HQ IGAR (S).
After travelling those unmotorable tracks for six hours carrying medicines, the team also joined in celebrating Easter, said the release and added that while extending CSD facilities to the villages of Thuyeng and Willong, the Commandant also assured the villagers of possible assistance through military civic action.
