Imphal, December 20 2010: Some people have reportedly pulled down two staff quarters of Government Model High School located at Ukhrul down by using JCB and occupied over the land.

Yet the authority concerned have remained silence over the matter.

In an exclusive interaction with only two newspapers, some concerned local people who wished not to be identified said that the two staff quarters have been constructed around two years back and their condition was still good.

The concerned locals disclosed that seven individuals were involved in pulling down the staff quarters.

They are principal of Alice Christian Hr Sec School Miss Sarah Kashung, Sopem Raleng, member of Phungyo Baptist Church HA Thanmei, women secretary of Ukhrul Baptist Church Wungreiwon Simray, Amyson of Deacon and executive member of Women's Society Awin Zingkhai.

The doors and windows of the two staff quarters have already been pulled out by these seven individuals in November 20, 2009.At that time, the school authority did not reported the matter to any of the authorities concerned of the Government.

The two staff quarters were finally pulled down in broad daylight by using JCB from November 20 to 28 this year.

But the authorities concerned of the Government have remained blind to all these demolition work for encroachment upon the land.

As had reported the matter, there have also been no evidences against the seven accused individuals for taking up necessary action for demolition of the two staff quarters, which have been constructed with an eye on ushering in quality education in the hill districts.

In such a situation, it appears that the administration of the Government of Manipur does not reach Ukhrul, the concerned locals said, while drawing the attention of the Government in this regard.
