38th Black Day observed all over

The Inter-national Observation Com- mittee on Puya Meithaba (ICOP), Kangleipak and Manipur University Students' Union (MUSU) jointly orga-nised the 38th Black Day observance to commemorate 287th Puya meithaba today at Centenary Hall, Manipur University.
Naoriya Amusana, president of Apok Marup Ahal 12, Hounashang Jaribond, Cachar was the chief guest of the function.
Namoijam Tomba, adviser, MNF, Kangleipak and convener ICOP; Ph Lan-dhoni, president of AMRPSWA and convener of ICOP; Prof Ch Ibohal Meitei, Director, CESD, MU; Dr H Indrakumar, Associate Professor, Dept of Political Science, Modern College; Dr Waikhom Romesh, Asst Prof, GP Women College and delegates from outside Manipur attended the function as the presidium members.
MUSU president Ching-subam Manglemton said that the observance was held to remind younger generations significance of the Puya meithaba event.
Black badge was fixed on the delegates.
Delegates from Mandalay, Myanmar included Kamalar, Sasi Devi, Naothem Yaima, Kamala Iswar and Bing Bing.
Delegates from Assam inclu-ded Naoria Amusana and Meitankeishangbam Niranjan and his wife.
M Oinam Ramendra Singha came to attend the function from Bangladesh.
