Imphal, June 17:
Contd from previous issue.
Detailing genesis of the KCP besmirched in factionalism, Senggoi Meitei referred to the initial formation of the consultative group with representatives of the KYKL, PREPAK and UNLF as observers during the adhoc central committee meeting held on May 8, 2006 that resulted in subsequent constitution of the Permanent Central Committee.
Highlighting that owing to certain constraints the KCP abstained from fund mobilisation and diverted its attention towards re-strengthening its cadre base and resolving internal differences, the president pointed to the general secretary KK Nganba stealthily leaving the party's CHQ on April 21, 2008 four days before the meeting of the Central Committee as one of the major factors for the failure to reach a definite understanding.
Moreover, despite the Central Committee meeting's resolution to refrain from any fund collection activities during the intervening period of the National Congress (May 8, 2006) till date, Senggoi insisted that after KK Nganba proclaimed split in the organisation through the media on May 14, 2008 and announced resumption of fund collection campaign the crisis only deepened as the PREPAK, KYKL and UNLF stuck to the earlier decision on the subject of fund collection.
Appealing to all ranks and files of the KCP organisation to return to the parent body, Senggoi conveyed that personal differences should not be allowed to undermine/derail either the ongoing revolutionary movement or dishonour aspiration of the public.
Reposing faith upon the joint effort of the PREPAK, KYKL and UNLF in bringing back the scattered cadres of various KCP groups, the president also spelt out some factors responsible for the current mess besieging the organisation such as indiscipline among the cadres due to instigation from some individuals with vested interest.
Insisting that there is no differences till now in either the ideology or political concept of the KCP, Senggoi Meitei cited self-centric doctrine and ulterior motive of individuals for the organisation experiencing such an embarrassing situation.
Contending that internal differences is not a new phenomenon within armed organisations and the same had been endured by the KCP, he cautioned all concerned particularly those cadres willing to return to the parent organisation to be wary of sinister plot being hatched by adversary/reactionary forces whose only agenda is accumulation of wealth at any cost.
Senggoi also claimed that individuals lacking of principle or devoid of in-depth knowledge and sanctity of revolutionary movement had been sowing seeds of hatred and enmity to derail the unification process and described such individuals as opportunists who seldom ponder before shifting loyalty for their personal gain.
