Imphal, February 07 2016:
The incumbent Congress Government notorious for corruption can be toppled and clean governance can be realised only when people vote BJP to power in the State, said BJP Manipur Pradesh vice-president Adim Pamei.
A worship programme of BJP workers and supporters was held today at Longmai (Noney) Part III with Adim Pamei who is preparing to fight the next State Assembly election in Nungba Assembly segment.
The worship programme was organised by BJP Local Committee, Longmai where leaders of different villages were present.
Speaking at the gathering, Adim Pamei remarked that leaders of Longmai Circle have demonstrated that BJP is not anti-Christian by calling and blessing him there.
Although Congress party has been ruling Manipur for the past 14 years, the Government has done nothing for development of hill areas.
Rather than sharing any thought for welfare of hill people, the incumbent Government is deeply embroiled in various corruption scandals.
As BJP is the only party which can defeat the ruling Congress party, people need to support BJP enmasse.
Adim Pamei asserted that local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam's failure to take up any welfare scheme for the people of Nungba A/C was a blessing in disguise for him.
"It is a gift of Gaikhangam that I can stand on a political platform", he continued while conveying gratitude to the Deputy Chief Minister.
"Acknowledging that I will be up against MPCC president and Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam in the next State Assembly election, BJP central leadership has asked me to start due preparations for the election", Adim Pamei said.
He continued that he has been seeking permission to invite Prime Minister Narendra Modi to Longmai.
BJP Manipur Pradesh general secretary Ashnikumar said that people of India voted BJP to power at the cost of Congress because they realized that Congress party was not working for the welfare of masses.
Congress party has suffered crushing defeats in Manipur too as witnessed in the ADC election, by-election and the recent local body elections.
The same trend of downfall would continue in the next State Assembly election which is due in 2017 .
Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam has done nothing for the welfare for hill areas and tribal people.
It appears that the State administration does not reach hill areas, he added.
