Imphal, December 30 2024: The 88th birth anniversary of NK Sanajaoba was observed today at Lamyanba Shanglen, Palace Compound, Imphal.

Organised by the NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust, the gathering paid homage to the eminent journalist with an offering of floral tributes.

Speaking on the occasion, L Jadumani, general secretary, NK Sanajaoba Memorial Trust, shared that Nongmeikapam Sanajaoba was the Editor of Pan Manipur Youth League's monthly journal "Lamyanba" .

During his lifetime, he had the courage to criticize harmful policies and point out the shortcomings of the non people centric Government of the time.

At this juncture when Manipur is embroiled in a conflict characterized by deteriorating relations between the Government and the public wherein the State leaders seem to have forgotten their responsibilities, it is important to follow in the footsteps of the notable journalist, he added.

L Jadumani maintained that the 88th birth anniversary observance was held to recall NK Sanajaoba's dream of building a new and better Manipur.
