A meeting of district level officers held at Moreh Trade Centre today studied the basic problems being faced by the denizens of the border town.
The meeting attended by officers of several Departments located in Chandel district was presided by Chandel DC Ashok Kumar.
Besides deliberating on the complaints made by community leaders of Moreh, the meeting also discussed the problems faced by different Depts in the district.
Of the various problems and agenda discussed in the meeting included elections for small town in moreh, lack of staff in dispensaries located in and around Moreh, collection of electricity bill in Moreh town, irregularity of the staff of Moreh Hospital in attending office and nonavailability of SSA fund at Moreh.
The meeting also deliberated on the disappearance of PDS items allotted for Moreh denizens before reaching the border town, NRHM programmes and poor infrastructure of the Moreh High School.
Addressing the meeting, DC Ashok Kumar remarked that the building of Moreh Hospital is a good building not only in Chandel district but in the entire State.
However, he observed that condition of Moreh PHC was pathetic.
The DC assured that repairing work will be initiated very soon.
On the inability to receive DD-I, DD-2 and other free channels in Moreh, he said that the matter would be intimated to the Director of DDK so that the problem is addressed at the earliest.
The DC also appealed to all the residents of the border town to help keep the town neat and clean.
Before closing the meeting it also agreed to hold such district level meetings every three months and to collect feedback from Moreh people within this gap of
three months.
