Imphal, April 24: The band party which took part in the Thabal Chongba programme held at Arapti Maning Leikai Pureiromba Laibung on April 13 in defiance of the appeal of RPF not to organise any entertainment programmes on its Athoubasingi Numit which fell on the same day, surrendered to the proscribed outfit today.

The secretary of Yaipha Sheishak Sindam Lup, Arapti Maning Leikai Yumbam Khomei (41) S/O late Kuber and other members of the band party surrendered to the outfit.

While informing that six members of the band party participated in the Thabal Chongba programme by playing their musical instruments, Khomei confessed to the charges levelled against the band party by the outfit.

Parading all the surrendered band party members in front of mediapersons today, a spokesperson of the department of communication and publicity of RPF said that the Thabal Chongba programme at Arapti Maning Leikai had been organised inspite of the earlier appeal made by the outfit not to organise any entertainment programme on April 13 .

As dictated, the sound and light service providers have already been surrendered to the outfit, the spokesperson said, adding that the deadline of April 25 served by the outfit to all concerned in connection with the incident still stands good.
