Imphal, November 03 2026: Proscribed outfit Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) has claimed it carried out the grenade attacks yesterday at the residences of singer Raju Nong at Thangmeiband and Yambem Victor at Kongpal Mutum Leikai.

In a statement, the KCP said the activities were carried out by the Special Task Force of its military wing Miyamgi Fingang Lanmi (MFL) .

A grenade was hurled at the residence of Raju Nong for the singer had refused to keep his "promise" despite repeated appeals made to him to shun some of his alleged "bad activities", said the group.

A grenade was also hurled at the residence of Yambem Victor for he had allegedly refused repeated appeals not to get involved in activities related to RIMS Hospital.
