The All Manipur Students Guardians' Organisation (AMSGO), Manipur has urged the Govt to suspend the personnel involved in the killing of Robinhood and ensure immediate reopening of educational institutions.
In a statement, AMSGO also urged the Govt to immediately come out with a Bill for the protection of indigenous people of the State by engaging legal and Constitutional experts, legal practitioners in the drafting committee.
It also urged the Govt to translate the resolutions adopted in the public meeting held on July 23 into action.
At the same time, Indigenous People's Association of Kangleipak (IPAK) said that the Govt can complete drafting of the Bill for the protection of the indigenous people in just three days if it pays serious attention.
The draft Bill will be more meaningful had Work Minister Kh Ratan Kumar �who not only played a vital role in bringing out a book but also served as its associate editor of a book, 'Influx of Migrant into Manipur: A threat to indigenous ethnic people' published by UCM, also been made a member of the drafting committee, it said.
It urged the Minister concerned to lend help to the drafting Committee.
