Imphal, April 29 2024: Amid strict security measures, polling personnel have been dispatched to six polling stations in Ukhrul, Chingai and Karong Assembly Constituencies today afternoon for repoll tomorrow, April 30 .

The polling stations to which the personnel have been dispatched are 44/36 Ukhrul Model High School North Wing, 44/41 Ukhrul D-1 Greenland Primary School, 44/50 Ukhrul F- KK Leisifnit Junior High School, 44/20 Sangshak-A Sangshak Government High School North Wing, 45/14 Chingai Government High School and 47/33 Oinam A-1 in Senapati district.

Notably, elections for the Outer Manipur Parliamentary seat (Lok Sabha) was held on April 26 and re-polling was ordered for the 6 polling stations in three Assembly Constituencies.

Sources said more than one company of CRPF and around 200 State police personnel have been deployed at the 47/33 Oinam A-1 polling station under Karong Assembly Constituency for smooth conduct of the repoll tomorrow.

There are 663 voters including 309 male voters and 354 female voters under 47/33 Oinam A-1 polling station.
