The mystery over Manipur student Richard Loitam's death since the blood report submitted by forensic lab on Thursday said that there were no traces of narcotics found in his blood.
According to reports, sources claimed that the reports from the Forensic Science Laboratory suggested that there was a possibility that Loitam's death was due to head injury, though there is no official comfirmation on it.
The FSL report assumes significance since there were allegations that Loitam was under the influence of drugs and he died because of the accident and not assault.
Sources said that paracetamol has been found in Loitam's blood which could have been from the medication he received for the accident he had two days before he died.

19-year old Loitam, a second semester student of Acharya NRV School of Architecture, was found dead on his hostel bed in Bangalore on the afternoon of April 18 .
Two students, Syed Afzal Ali and Vishal Banerjee were suspended and booked for the murder of Richard Loitam.
According to police, the two students who were studying along with Loitam had a scuffle with him and allegedly punched him on his head on the day he was found dead in the hostel.
According to the report filed with the Madanayakanahalli police by the hostel warden S Sudhakar, Loitam met with an accident on April 16 and was subsequently treated at Sapthagiri Hospital.
On the night of April 17, he reportedly quarrelled with his hostel mate Vishal Banerjee over watching an IPL match.
Another student, Sayed Afzal Ali, intervened and hit Loitam on the face and head.
Following the altercation, Loitam returned to his room and was found dead the next day.
While police initially said he died as a result of a road accident, friends of the victim insist that the 19-year-old Manipuri succumbed to injuries he suffered on being severely assaulted by seniors at college the previous night.
The death sparked off protests in Bangalore and New Delhi with the protesters demanding justice for Loitam.
The college also "tainted" Loitam by calling him a "drug addict", the groups said.
