Sit-in protest attack on ZP member's house

Thoubal, January 23 2024: A group of unknown armed individuals attacked and vandalised the house of Tentha Zilla Pari shad member Khangembam Manishang w/o Kh Priojit around 10 am Tuesday.

Condemning the attack, local Meira Paibi members staged a sit-in protest at Tentha Khongbal in the afternoon.

Speaking on the sidelines, one Laishram Memcha condemned attack of residence of a people's representative in board daylight and urged the relevant authorities to investigate and apprehend the person(s) responsible.

During the sit-in, the protestors shouted slogans such as "Don't cause panic in civilian spaces", and "We want peace" .
