Imphal, July 23 2023: The Senior Citizens' Club Manipur has strongly condemned the statement made by Karti Chidambaram, Congress MP, who termed the conflict in the State as an "ethnic cleansing" on Mirror Now TV channel this afternoon.

Demanding an apology from the son of former Home Minister P Chidambaram, the SCC has pointed out that this marks the first time that a national level political leader has openly taken sides.

"It's also a matter of grave concern that the MP has mouthed words used by the Kukis", SCC added.
