Imphal, January 23 2024:
While expressing concern over the ongoing violence in the state, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) Manipur Pranta has appealed to all stakeholders to shun violence and help in restoring normalcy.
"The escalating violence in Manipur is causing significant distress and is worsening on a daily basis," said Dr Th Naranbabu, the Sanghchalak of RSS Manipur Pranta, in a statement.
While condemning the inhumane acts of violence against innocent individuals and the brutal murder of farmers, he also appealed to both sides to put an end to violence.
He further said that the culprits should be booked under the law and befitting punishment should be given accordingly.
The central and state governments should take immediate steps to bring normalcy and tranquillity in the state, the Sanghchalak of RSS Manipur Unit said.
He also appealed to all civil society organisations, intellectuals, and students in the state to come forward and initiate peaceful dialogue with related stakeholders for restoring peace and normalcy.
