Tandan Music Academy established

Imphal, March 26 2025:
Tandan Music Academy by Tandan Charitable Trust, Manipur has been established at Mapao Zingsho Gate, nearby Awang Ngairangbam on Wednesday.
As per a release, the launch function was attended by Guru Rewben Mashangva, senior journalist Pradip Phanjaobam, Sunbird Trust founder Christopher Rego and Imaan Bhattacharya from Naha Trust along with village leaders and community members from different areas like Shungriphai, Ngairangbam, Mapao Zingsho, Sinam and Sinam Kom.

The academy will avail opportunity to children and adults to learn music in multiple disciplines like keyboards, ukelele, guitar, drums and vocals.
It is a free of cost academy, with a special consideration to those who come from under-resourced families, it added.
During the programme, Tandan Charitable Trust founders Samuel Luis and Henna Senjam addressed the importance of music in bringing people together, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, tribe or caste.
Luis is an accomplished western classical musician, trained in London and has won many awards worldwide.
Rewben and he gave the audience two exquisite tastes of two different worlds of music at the event, the release further said.
