Cash donated to kidney patient

Imphal, December 03 2023: UNACCO Residential School, Chanung principal Maibam Shailaza along with teachers and students of the school donated Rs 15,000 to Laishram Diviya of Leimaram.

The donated amount was given to the kidney patient along with a 'Get Well Soon Card'.

The Progressive Youth Organisation (PYO), Uripok Sorbon Thingel also donated Rs 8000 cash to the kidney patient, who is studying in 4th standard at The Target School, Leimaram.

Appreciating the financial assistance, JNIMS Relief Committee has appealed to the people of the state to donate fund for her treatment through her mother Laishram Sanathoi's GPay number 8132827565.Diviya is one of three children of Laishram Sanathoi.

The family lost their home in the ongoing ethnic conflict and they have been staying in a relief camp at Leimaram.

The 11-year-old girl's father died in the relief camp in August.

Recently, she was diagnosed with failure of both her kidneys.

Left without a father and no means to afford the treatment, the family is seeking assistance from the public for her treatment though JNIMS doctors assured of bearing the cost of conducting required tests outside the state.

Diviya is currently undergoing treatment at JNIMS.
