MLA Nemcha demands capital punishment

Kangpokpi, July 23 2023: Kangpokpi AC MLA Nemcha Kipgen condemned the recent horrific viral video incident and demanded "Capital Punishment" to the culprits who committed the heinous crime.

The BJP woman minister while strongly con demning the shocking viral video incident said that no words could express her pain and sorrow after seeing the recent video where two women were paraded naked, and sexually assaulted by mob on May 4 .

The minister continued that the incident shocked the whole world and hung the Indian heads in shame.

"The culprits involved in this aggravated form of rape which is a gross human rights violation must be given capital punishment without any bias at the earliest without any delay," demanded Nemcha Kipgen.

"Attack on the dignity of women is an attack on humanity at large," she continued, while assuring to extend all possible assistance from to deliver Justice to the victims.

Meanwhile, Manipur Gorkha Welfare Union in a release also strongly denounced the heinous crime in which two ladies were paraded naked and added that such barbaric incident is crime against humanity.

The union urged the government to give befitting and exemplary punishment as per law of the land to all the accused involved in the crime.

The Gorkhas are a peace loving community and has maintained a neutral stance in the current conflict, it maintained, while appealing to the government to bring early solution to the current crisis so that peace and normalcy is restored at the earliest.
