Teacher induction training from Jan 30

The state education department would be organising a teachers' induction training as part of the School Fagathansi Mission's STAR Education programme with the objective to bring innovation and excellence in government schools across the state.
This programme, which will be executed in two phases, aims at bringing transformative changes to teaching methodologies and is set to impact 152 additional schools in the state, involving over 850 teachers and 150 headmasters.
The inaugural phase of training is scheduled to be held at Kamakhya Pemton College, Hiyangthang, from January 30 to February 9.Education minister Th Basanta Kumar has reiterated the government's commitment to delivering quality education to every government school in the state.
He highlighted the STAR Education programme as a transformative initiative under the Chief Minister's School Fagathansi Mission.
The upcoming teachers' induction training is envisioned to equip dedicated teachers and headmasters with essential skills and resources to effectively implement the STAR Education programme in their respective schools.
The STAR methodology focuses on continuous development and improvement, recognising empowered teachers as the cornerstone of a brighter future for students.
The training will cover the STAR teaching approach, encompassing classroom management, instructional training, and technology integration.
Headmasters will undergo training in leadership skills, teacher observation, and feedback.
Leveraging a tech-enabled, data-driven coaching, and professional development model, STAR Education ensures that teachers, headmasters, and support staff are well-prepared for success in the evolving educational landscape.
Under the School Fagathansi Mission, the STAR Education programme, has already been successfully implemented in 253 government schools.
With the inclusion of these additional schools, an even higher number of students across Manipur are expected to get benefit from this innovative and effective educational initiative.
