ETA distributes seeds to IDPs

Imphal, February 11 2024:
As a part of its livelihood initiative programme, Eta: Northeast Women's Network on Sunday provided seeds to the internally displaced persons (IDPs) staying in four relief camps in Bishnupur district.
Subsequently, the camp residents began cultivation of crops.
The network after discussing with operatives of relief camps having ample space took up the initiative so that the residents can cultivate crops in and around the camp.
In the first phase, 20 bags of Mahindra potatoes were distributed to four relief camps set up in Bishnupur district.
The network also assured of distributing such seeds to other relief camps so as to facilitate livelihood activities to the displaced people.
It may be mentioned that ETA had provided weaving looms, sewing machines and incense stick-making machines to the displaced people taking shelter in relief camps.
