Winter clothes donated to relief camps

Imphal, December 10 2023:
Beneficiaries of Individual House Hold Latrine (IHHL) scheme for Imphal Municipal Council (IMC) Ward No 6 contributed cash and donated winter clothes to the relief camp set up at Meitei Langol Leima Khullen on Sunday.
The winter clothes were donated through IMC Ward No 6 former corporator Tourangbam Indrajit.
Along with donation of the clothes, a free blood test camp was also held in the relief camp.
According to Indrajit, the clothes were purchased for the camp's children residents with contribution of Rs 500 by each beneficiary.
Meanwhile, Rotary Club of Imphal donated 116 blankets to three relief camps in Bishnupur district on Sunday.
According to club president Dr Sanjib Nepram, the blankets were distributed to the residents of relief camps at Sendra Ithing (60 blankets), Chingmei Ima Nganuleima Chingmei (30 blankets) and Moirang Khunou Mamang Sabal Mandop (20 blankets).
The blankets were sponsored by club members Dr Radheshyam Oinam and KN Agarwal as part of the club's community service project.
The club is also planning to organise a free eye check-up camp in a relief camp during the current month.
Manipur University, department of mass communication also donated mattresses, clothes and food items to a relief camp at Thanga.
The relief materials were acquired with the fund for a two-day media tour of the department.
