Sit-in staged to show solidarity with Meetei

Bishnupur, July 31 2023: Save India Forum (SIF), Manipur staged sit-in protest on Monday at Kha Potshangbam Maning Mini Bazar to express solidarity from various states of India to the Meetei community.

During the protest, the participants displayed placards and chanted slogans like 'revoke SoO agreement immediately', 'no separate administration', 'uproot Chin-Kuki narco-terrorists', 'implement NRC', etc.

Speaking to media persons, SIF, Manipur president Dr Ramanando Khundrakpam informed that Manipur Support Day is being planned in 17 states and UTs with the first day of the demonstration marked by staging sit-in protests in Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Haryana on Monday, While noting that every sane person is well that narco-terrorists Kuki militants are trying to wipe out Meeteis from Manipur, he also called upon the people to buy products made by displaced persons in relief camps.

Ramanando further appealed to the central and state governments to address the plight of farmers to avert dependence on others for food and other essential commodities.
