Imphal, February 11 2024: A one-day Cervical Screening cum Awareness Camp was organised at Tispari, Kanglatongbi by Roshan Youth Club, Kanglatongbi in collaboration with Gynae-Onco Unit of Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS), Imphal on Sunday.

Besides examining over 120 people and collecting 110 Pap smears, the camp also provided free tests on Random Blood Sugar (RBS) and haemoglobin to all the attendees along with free medicines.

A few suspicious cases on Pap smear were sent for biopsy.

According to a release, the programme was attended by JNIMS Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology Gynae-Onco Unit team of four doctors led by professor Dr Helen Kamei and MO Dr Ishor Kharel.
