AIM, Khabam Lamkhai stunned goalless MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai with six goals in today's match of the 4th Edition of the Manipur State League organised by the All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) at Mapal Kangjeibung, Imphal.
The All Manipur Football Association (AMFA) is organising the state league under the Vision India Project of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
AIM, Khabam Lamkhai beat goalless MBSU, Wahengbam Leikai in today's second match of the league.
Players of AIM dominated the players of MBSU from the beginning giving them no chance to strike back.
W Ngouba of AIM scored the first goal in the 8th minute of the match.
He later scored another goal against MBSU in the 55th minute.
His teammate I Seityasen scored two goals in the 25th and 45+2nd minute of the match.
.SSanta and Th Vandona also scored one goal each in the 86th and 90+2nd minutes of the match.
On the other hand no players of MBSU could scored a single goal against AIM and lost the match.
Earlier today, ESU, Wangkhei beat SSU, Singjamei 2-1 in a keenly contested match.
Both teams displayed a real tough match against one another from the beginning.
Each team's players played the match with full coordination among them.
Although they lost the match, SSU took the first lead in the 19th minute of the match with a goal of Ng Ajitkumar.
with one goal ahead of them, players of ESU tried their best to equalise the score but the first half of the match ended with SSU leading by 1-0.However ESU managed to equalise the score in the beginning of the second half.
The equaliser was scored by M Raju in the 49th minute of the match.
ESU's winning goal was scored in the last minute of the match.
It was scored by M Meelan in the 90+2nd minute of the match.
M Meelan and M Raju of ESU were issued a yellow card each for their unsporting behaviour during the match.
Meanwhile, today's third match played between NISA, Thangmeiband and TRUGPU, Nambol ended up in a tie with scores 2-2 for both teams.
Both teams displayed a real fight against one another throughout the match trying to dominate over one another from the beginning.
They played the match with full determination to win.
Full coordination among the players of both teams were significant.
As they played the match with almost equal skills and tactics, they found it hard to strike goals against one another.
NISA took the first lead in the 17th minute of the match with a goal of L Nabachandra.
With one goal ahead of them, TRUGPU's players tried their best to equalised the score.
As a result L Gouro of TRUGPU equalised the score in the 41st minute of the match.
Second half showed no difference in the tactics and stamina of the players of both teams.
All of them energitically tried their best to strike goal against one anothe and win the match.
As the match neared its end, N Surjit of TRUGPU scored one goal against NISA in the 72nd minute of the match.
But it was equalised in the 89th minute of the match by Ksh Malemnganba of NISA.
The match conlcuded in a tie since no players of both teams could scored any further goal against one another.T Ajitkumar, I Ibotomba, N Jimmy, S Manimohon, Ksh Malemnganba of NISA and L Ratan, G Maringmei, M Sudhiranjan, N Indrakumar, N Itocha of TRUGPU were issued a yellow card each for their rude behaviour during the match.
