4th School Meet concludes with Imphal East as overall champions

Imphal, February 13 2012:
The 4th School Meet 2011-12 organised by the Department of Education (S) has concluded today at Khuman Lampak Main Stadium with Imphal East as overall team champions.
Imphal East won the title of Overall Team Champions with 12 gold, seven silver and one bronze medals.
The runners up title was adjusted to Bishnupur who won eight gold, four silver and five bronze medals.
Thoubal who won five gold, six silver and four bronze medals was placed in the third position.
In today's events, Kh Amarjit of CCpur, P Akho of Senapati and H Ibomcha of Bishnupur won the first, second and third positions in senior boys' Mukna.
In junior boys' Mukna S Bobicha (Tbl), N Jasobanta (CCpur) and Th Thoi (Tbl) won first, second and third places.
In senior boys' badminton team event, the pair of H Pritam and H Roben of Bishnupur won the first place while the second place was won by the pair of Lanchenba Ningthouja and Ningthouren Ayekpam of Imphal West.
In junior boys' badminton team event, the pair of I Roosvelt and Kh Excellent of Imphal West won first position and the pair of RK Yaisana and Y Tejkumar of Imphal East won second position.
In senior girls' badminton team event, the pair of M Sema and Ph Laxmi of Bishnupur won first position while the second position was won by the pair of K Jogita and S Palika of IMpohal West.
In junior girls' badminton team event, the pair of Kheroda Saikhom and Th Babina of Imphal West won the first place.
The pair of Kh Rashmi and O Daya of Bishnupur won the second place.
In senior boys' 100 mt race, Ph Roshan (Bpr), Md Sadam (CCpur) and N Pamenba (IE) won first, second and third places respectively.
In girls' marathon, Miss Wahida (Tbl), S Bidyalaxmi (IE) and Theichong (Tml) emerged in first, second and third positions respectively.
In boys' marathon, PA Christopher (Ukl), Md Nawaz Khan (Tbl) and H Umakanta (Bpr) won the first, second and third places respectively.
Imphal East contingent won the March Past competition and the second place of the competition was adjusted to Chandel contingent.
